Explore the inner workings of a real engine in this hands-on STEM class! Participants will build a model V8 engine piece by piece, discovering how pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, and valves work together to create motion — the same core principles found in real automotive engines.
Along the way, kids will learn foundational mechanical and engineering concepts like combustion cycles, mechanical linkages, and how rotational motion is generated and transferred — all while assembling a model they can keep and show off.
A big thank you to our sponsors Brosz Engineering, Mountain Plains LLC, & ConocoPhillips for helping make opportunities like this possible!
