McKenzie County invites you to attend a Community Forum on Data Center Sound & Health on Thursday, September 3, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the McKenzie County Ag Expo.
As part of McKenzie County's ongoing public education initiative related to data centers and proposed revisions to strengthen its existing ordinance, this forum will feature independent environmental health and acoustics experts who will discuss noise, low-frequency sound, and infrasound, explain how sound is measured and evaluated, and present baseline sound measurements from existing industrial facilities in McKenzie County.
This forum is part of McKenzie County’s ongoing effort to provide factual, North Dakota-specific information before any future data center proposal is submitted or considered. This is an educational community forum, not a public hearing or a presentation advocating for or against data center development. The event is independent of any proposed data center project or developer, and was planned to address community concerns that have previously been raised
